Measure the distance of the internal thread “A” and make a mark on your polypipe the approximate same length “B”. Apply some type of thread sealant or anti-seize compound to help lubricate and seal the threads. Apply this to the internal thread and also to the outside of the pipe.

Simply take the POLYMATE and start it onto the end of your pipe by using only your hands. With most sizes you can turn the POLYMATE 3-4 rounds before you will need a wrench. At this time you know if the adapter has started on the pipe straight. If not, back off the adapter and try again. When you have determined the adapter is on straight use a pipe wrench and screw the adapter to the mark you made on your polypipe.

You may use a strap wrench or a small pipe vise to hold the pipe during installation.
